National athlete Mustafa Abacıoğlu, who is only 18 years old, won medals in two different distances at European organizations.
Ümraniye Municipality Sports Club's 18-year-old successful athlete Mustafa Abacıoğlu reached the top in the international arena following his domestic rankings, becoming the European champion in the 400 meters and the European third-place finisher in the 800 meters.
Rankings Achieved at the National Level
Ümraniye Municipality Sports Club athlete Mustafa Abacıoğlu drew attention with his disciplined performance in the 400, 800, and 1500-meter distances. The young athlete won three championships at the National Inter-School Deaf Championship.
The Path to the European Championship
Following the competitions in Türkiye, the young athlete donned the national jersey and represented Türkiye at the European Deaf Youth Games.
Abacıoğlu reached the European championship in the 400-meter races, while also achieving a third-place finish in Europe in the 800 meters, winning medals in two different categories.
Conducting Education and Sports Together
Graduating from Haydarpaşa Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School's Information Technologies department, the athlete did not neglect his academic life either.
Continuing his studies in the Coaching Education Department at Marmara University, Abacıoğlu manages his intense training program alongside his university education.
