Defne Kurt finished first in the women's 100-meter freestyle S10 final with a time of 59.37, wearing her 5th gold medal of the championship.
With this result, the national athlete made history by becoming the first Turkish athlete to win 5 gold medals in a single European Championship.

Another major success of the day came from Turgut Aslan Yaraman, who competed in the men's 200-meter individual medley SM8 final.
