The Ministry of Youth and Sports has filed a lawsuit against the Galatasaray club for approximately 19 million liras in receivables and bad faith compensation on the grounds that the annual amateur sports contribution fee was not paid.

Grounds for the Lawsuit

The Ministry of Youth and Sports stated that the annual amateur sports contribution fee, which is required to be paid pursuant to the use-right protocol of the Seyrantepe Sports Complex, was not deposited.

Enforcement Proceedings and Objection Process

The enforcement proceeding initiated by the Ministry was suspended after the yellow-red club raised an objection. Following this, the judicial route was chosen and a new lawsuit was filed.

Demand for Receivables and Compensation

It was reported that the filed lawsuit demands a receivable of 18 million 966 thousand 895 liras and 40 kurus along with bad faith compensation.

Galatasaray's Defense

Lawyers for the Galatasaray club defended that the said amount had been paid, arguing that the ministry had raised a retroactive difference, interest, and a recalculated debt.
