Marmaris Asparan Camp and Sports Facilities Opened with a Ceremony

The Asparan Camp and Sports Facilities, built by the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality in the İçmeler Asparan locality of Marmaris with a capacity of 150 people, officially entered service with a ceremony held.

From Idle Area to Sports Center

Implemented by the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality in the İçmeler Neighborhood Asparan locality of Marmaris, the facility was established on a 10-decare area that had been idle for years.

Designed with a total capacity of 150 people, the facility includes football, basketball, and volleyball courts, a tennis court, and a mini-golf area.

Rich Social Areas

In the newly opened facility, alongside camp and outdoor activity areas, there is also a conference hall and a library.

Additionally, a special gaming and innovation area where young people can spend their time is among the amenities included in the facility.

Hosting a Youth Gathering

Together with the opening program, the facility hosted a gathering organized in cooperation with the Union of Municipalities of Turkey, the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, and the Muğla Youth Assembly.

The 4th Union of Municipalities of Turkey Local Youth Structures Gathering, attended by nearly 100 young people from different provinces of Turkey, took place between September 25-28.

Statements from Officials

Speaking at the opening, Mustafa Özpoyraz, Head of the Youth and Sports Services Department of the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, stated that the idle area had been transformed into a versatile center.

İçmeler Neighborhood Headman Ali Demirtaş and Youth Assembly President Muzaffer Cantekin also emphasized the importance of the facility and expressed their thanks to those who contributed.
