Fenerbahçe Stadium Capacity Being Increased to 64 Thousand
At Fenerbahçe's ordinary financial and administrative general assembly, it was announced that the stadium capacity will be increased to 64 thousand and the project cost will be covered by Nihat Özbağı.
The stadium capacity expansion project was announced at the ordinary financial and administrative general assembly of Fenerbahçe Sports Club, held at the Ülker Sports and Event Hall. Board member Nihat Özbağı announced that the current capacity of 48 thousand will be increased to 64 thousand and that the entire project cost of 50 million euros will be undertaken by himself.

Fenerbahçe Sports Club's ordinary financial and administrative general assembly meeting was held at the Ülker Sports and Event Hall. Speaking at the meeting, board member Nihat Özbağı shared detailed information regarding the increase in stadium capacity.
Capacity and Match Schedule
It was stated that with the stadium's current capacity of 48 thousand being increased to 64 thousand, it will become Turkey's largest stadium on a club basis. It was noted that construction work will start from outside the stadium and will not create a situation that would hinder the playing of matches.
It was announced that the period when the roof will be removed will coincide with the end of the season, and matches will not be affected during this process. While it is hoped that permits and approvals will be obtained in a short time, it was recorded that 44 new private boxes will be built behind the goals.
Work Schedule and Targets
It is planned to start foundation and concreting operations in November, perform ground reinforcement, and place steel manufacturing orders. The roof removal process is anticipated to be carried out in June and July.
It was conveyed that facade cladding will be done in order to ensure acoustics, and the renovation works are targeted to be completed in November 2027.
Project Cost and Additional Revenues
It was announced that the total cost of the project is 50 million euros. It was stated that this amount consists of 23 million euros for steel works, 10 million 700 thousand euros for construction and stand works, 8 million 450 thousand euros for facade and roof works, and 2 million 600 thousand euros for mechanical works, with the remainder covering general expenses.
It was expressed that when the stadium is finished, additional revenues of 6.5 million euros from behind the goals and 7.5 million euros from private boxes will be generated.
