MHP leader Bahçeli makes statement on Terrorism-Free Turkey and Amedspor
MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli reacted to certain research and provocations targeting the climate of peace formed with the objective of a Terrorism-Free Turkey.
Stating that certain research and studies are trying to poison the climate of peace and brotherhood formed with the goal of a Terrorism-Free Turkey, MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli reacted to the debates carried out through Amedspor and initiatives under the guise of Islamic surveys.
Objective of a Terrorism-Free Turkey and Legal Process
MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli stated that the objective of a Terrorism-Free Turkey was initiated with the ideal of bringing humanity to justice, peace, and tranquility.
He said that a significant stage has been reached in the process with the Law on the Strengthening of National Solidarity and Social Integration adopted in the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
Reaction to Amedspor Debates and Perception Research
Bahçeli reacted to the research conducted in cooperation with the Kurdish Studies Center and Rawest Research.
He argued that such initiatives attempting to intensify the relationship between football and identity aim to poison the climate of brotherhood.
Unifying Spirit of Sports and Emphasis on the Future
Stating that he welcomes Amedspor's promotion to the Süper Lig, Bahçeli emphasized that the club must not be made a tool for dirty projects.
He expressed that sports should be the ground for brotherhood and peace, not for politics and divisive identity debates.
Public Opinion Research and Call for Legal Regulation
Stating that alongside sports debates, other instigation and manipulation initiatives under the guise of Islamic surveys have also been brought to the agenda, he expressed his views.
He argued that the principles of public opinion research organizations should be determined and criminal sanctions should be introduced for those presenting misleading information.
