Facing Polish representative Natalia Kuczewka in the semifinal bout, the 25-year-old national boxer beat her opponent 5-0 to book her place in the final.

Competing in the 51 kg category for the first time in her career and achieving a major first in the senior division, the national athlete experienced the joy of reaching a European senior championship final for the first time.

Hatice Akbaş, who previously holds an Olympic silver medal and a world championship title, stated that she is pleased with the performance she has shown in her new weight class.

Final Match for the Gold Medal

In the final bout to be held on Friday, September 25, Hatice Akbaş will face Spanish athlete and Mediterranean Games champion Laura Fuertes Fernandez for the gold medal.

Making a statement ahead of the final match, the national boxer expressed that despite her new weight class, she has displayed a good performance and believes she will win the gold medal.
