Nearly 36 thousand children meet with sports in Bursa Summer Sports Schools
Implemented through the cooperation of three institutions in Bursa, the Summer Sports Schools offered thousands of children training opportunities in numerous branches at facilities across 17 districts.
The 2026 Summer Sports Schools, organized in cooperation with the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, the Provincial Directorate of National Education, and the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, have concluded with the participation of 35,884 children and young people across 17 districts.
Summer Sports Schools Concluded
The Summer Sports Schools, carried out in cooperation with the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, the Bursa Provincial Directorate of National Education, and the Bursa Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, have successfully ended. Within the scope of the program, thousands of children spent their summer holidays doing sports.
Broad Participation and Facility Network
A total of 35,884 children and young people participated in the projects implemented in 17 districts. The activities were conducted in a total of 147 sports facilities, including school and youth sports facilities as well as Metropolitan Municipality facilities.
Comprehensive Branch Diversity
Training was provided in a total of 45 different sports branches, including basic fields such as swimming, gymnastics, basketball, tennis, and archery, as well as karate, chess, sailing, and wrestling. Thus, participants gained diverse experiences.
Targeted Sports Culture
It was aimed to direct children to sports at an early age and make this habit a part of their lives. With these comprehensive studies carried out, significant contributions were made to the spread of sports culture throughout Bursa.
