It had been claimed that Fenerbahçe, which decided to part ways with Çağlar Söyüncü, took action on the final day of the transfer window to reinforce the domestic center-back position.
In reports reflected in the press, it was alleged that the yellow-navy club made a 1.5 million euro offer for Konyaspor defender Adil Demirbağ and that this offer was found insufficient and rejected.

Following the news, the Fenerbahçe management made a written statement clearly denying the transfer claims.
The statement emphasized that the claims regarding reaching a verbal agreement with the player, holding final negotiations, and presenting an offer around 3 million euros do not reflect the truth.
