Operation and messages in the referee file investigation
Actions were taken against individuals, including the former MHK President, as part of the referee investigation conducted under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
Within the framework of the referee investigation conducted under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an operation was carried out targeting suspects including former MHK President Ferhat Gündoğdu and certain TFF officials.
Coordination and Scope of the Investigation
The efforts carried out by the teams of the Istanbul Police Department's Financial Crimes Branch were executed under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Bureau of Illegal Betting and Sports Crimes.
Examinations and Findings
Within the scope of the ongoing file, open-source research, MASAK and HTS studies, complainant and witness statements, and expert determinations were examined in detail.
Identification of Suspects
As a result of the reviews conducted, it was evaluated that former MHK President Ferhat Gündoğdu, as well as certain MHK members who are referees and observers, could be connected to the crime.
Operations Carried Out
Following the assessments obtained, simultaneous operations were carried out at pre-determined addresses in Istanbul, Ankara, Elazığ, and Manisa.
Detained Individuals
As a result of the operation, Ferhat Gündoğdu, Ferdi Karadoruk, Ahmet Şahin, Yunus Yıldırım, Sebahattin Şahin, Alican Sağlar, and Emre Kosif were detained.
