Parliamentary Inquiry Request Regarding Hakkari Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports Expenses

DEM Party Hakkari MP Öznur Bartin submitted a parliamentary inquiry motion to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey to investigate the activity expenses and various allegations brought to the agenda concerning the Hakkari Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports.

Expenses and Allegations

In the motion, based on information reflected in the local press, it was stated that expenses such as transportation, accommodation, meals, sports materials, and equipment were shown to be covered from the public budget.

Request for Support from Tradespeople

Allegations that financial support was requested from certain tradespeople and business people under the pretext of students and athletes found a place in the motion.

It was requested to examine whether money was additionally collected for expenses stated to be covered from the public budget.

Invoice and Financial Review

It was requested to investigate allegations that invoices were issued through certain companies and agreements were made regarding VAT.

It was emphasized that invoices, bank transactions, tax records, and delivery documents should be examined together.

Questions Addressed to the Ministry

DEM Party Hakkari MP Öznur Bartin directed a total of 10 questions for Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak to answer.

It was requested that the direct procurement and purchasing transactions of the directorate during the relevant periods be inspected by inspectors.
