Ebrar Karakurt, whose pain increased at the start of the camp, underwent physical examinations and imaging tests.
The checks revealed an increase in fluid and bone marrow edema in the player's right sacroiliac joint.
Treatment Process and Developments
Following the findings, a treatment process was immediately initiated for the player, and she was first ensured to rest.
It was reported that after the resting period, physiotherapy and controlled return-to-court exercises were initiated.
National Team and Tournament Status
Karakurt was also absent from the roster for the third-week matches of the 2026 FIVB Volleyball Nations League.
She is not included in the tournament squad as it was decided not to risk the player and to focus on her treatment.
