Selim Sırrı Tarcan Sports and Life Complex Opened with a Ceremony
The modern sports facility, built at the intersection of three districts in Istanbul, has been opened for public use with an official ceremony.
Built by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality at the intersection point of Bağcılar, Esenler, and Güngören, the 1 Billion TL Selim Sırrı Tarcan Sports and Life Complex was opened with a ceremony.
Opening Ceremony and Participants
The opening ceremony of the facility, realized within the scope of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality's sports investments, was held with a broad participation.
The ceremony was attended by IMM Deputy Mayor Nuri Aslan, IMM senior management, district mayors, council members, and numerous citizens.
The City's Capacity Provided by the Facility
With this 1 Billion TL giant life complex, the number of sports facilities serving across Istanbul has risen to 77.
Additionally, with this new investment, the total number of swimming pools across the city has reached 29.
Comprehensive Sports Equipment
The complex houses a semi-olympic swimming pool, a training pool, a modern tennis court, and padel courts.
The facility has started its operations with the goal of providing sports services for 600,000 sessions to approximately 45,000 people annually.
Preparation Base for National Athletes
The facility, which will host official competitions of the Turkish Swimming Federation, is of great importance for national organizations.
The complex will also serve as a preparation base for national athletes for the 2027 European Games.
Branches to be Served
Operated by the IMM Youth and Sports Services Department Directorate of Sports Facilities Branch Office, the facility has opened its doors.
Sports activities in various branches such as swimming, fitness, group lessons, tennis, padel, and artificial turf pitch will be carried out at the facility.
