Serdivan Municipality Winter Sports Schools New Term Training Starts
Winter Sports Schools, which bring children and youth together with sports in Serdivan, open their doors on Saturday, October 3, following the quota and draw process.
Training at the Winter Sports Schools, launched by Serdivan Municipality to bring children together with sports throughout the year, begins on Saturday, October 3, following the completion of the registration and draw process.
Registration and Draw Process Completed
Following the registration process carried out under the coordination of the Directorate of Youth and Sports Services, draw processes were held for branches that exceeded their quotas.
With the program to be organized in various facilities across the district, hundreds of children will have the opportunity to do regular sports throughout the winter season.
Statement from the Mayor
Serdivan Mayor Osman Çelik stated that they attach importance to children meeting sports at a young age and making it a part of their lives.
Çelik expressed that the trainings to be provided will make significant contributions to the physical and social development of the children.
Branch Distribution in Different Facilities
Hundreds of athletes will receive training in karate and gymnastics branches at Şehit Fethi Sekin Primary School.
While Ekrem Karaberber Sports Facility will host football trainings, basketball and volleyball activities will be carried out at Şehit Yılmaz Ercan Girls' Anatolian Imam Hatip High School.
Weightlifting, Wrestling, and Canoeing Trainings
While weightlifting and wrestling courses will be organized at Yazlık Sports Hall, children will continue their studies in the canoeing branch at Serdivan Canoe Rowing Facility.
Fourth-grade students throughout the district will benefit from the swimming program.

Following the draw phase, coaches are organizing athletes according to age and branch groups and contacting families.
Class days, hours, and group details are directly notified to parents.
