Filmmaker Juan Jose Lopez Ordonez has accused former Fenerbahçe football player Edson Alvarez of conspiring to kidnap him in Mexico in November 2024. The footballer denied the accusations and announced that he will initiate legal action.

Kidnapping and Conspiracy Allegations

Filmmaker Juan Jose Lopez Ordonez claimed that former Fenerbahçe football player Edson Alvarez conspired to kidnap him in an incident he alleged took place in Mexico in November 2024.

Ordonez claimed that he was threatened and blindfolded by two masked, armed individuals, and was also kidnapped with a syringe pressed against his neck.

Debt and Real Estate Dispute

While financial disagreements were stated to be behind the tension, the filmmaker reported that they had been working together on a joint documentary project with Alvarez.

Ordonez stated that the footballer owed him approximately 3.5 million pesos and that he requested this payment in 2024, also expressing that they had issues regarding real estate with his family.

Edson Alvarez's Strong Reaction

Following the allegations against him, 28-year-old Mexican footballer Edson Alvarez broke his silence and firmly denied the accusations.

Defending that he has no connection to the incident, the footballer reported that the claims do not reflect the truth and that the matter will be taken to court.

Legal Process Initiated

Releasing a statement on his social media account, Alvarez invited anyone with evidence to apply directly to the prosecutor's office and relevant courts.

The Mexican player announced to the public that he will initiate legal proceedings against these baseless allegations.
