Sports-Themed Nation's Garden in Trabzon Counts Down to Opening
Synthetic football field works have been completed in Turkey's first sports-themed nation's garden implemented by the Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality.
Turkey's first and only sports-themed Nation's Garden, featuring a football pitch and stands, is counting down the days to be offered to the service of citizens in Trabzon.
General Characteristics of the Project
Final touches are now being made on the project being carried out by the Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality at the Avni Aker Nation's Garden, and the area is planned to open in the coming days.
Keeping Historical Memory Alive
The region housing the Avni Aker Stadium, which carries Trabzon's deep-rooted sports culture and football memory, and the Yavuz Selim Pitch, the symbol of amateur sports, is being restructured.
By converting the grass pitch, previously used as an event area, into a synthetic football pitch, it is aimed to keep the amateur football tradition of Yavuz Selim alive.
Investment and Technical Details
Within the scope of this special project, which has an investment cost of approximately 13 million 253 thousand liras, a modern facility suitable for the use of youth and children has been built.
The area includes a 45x90 meter synthetic turf field where children between the ages of 8 and 14 can easily play football, as well as a grandstand and team benches.
