It was reported that Super Lig referee Yasin Kol and Assistant Referee Goktug Hazar Erel were detained. Yasin Kol, who officiated the friendly match between Trabzonspor and Drogheda United in Trabzon, was detained at his home after the match and a search was conducted at his residence.

According to the official statement made by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the suspects are being investigated on allegations of violating Law No. 7258, complicity in the crime of forgery of official documents, and abuse of office.

The prosecutor's office statement noted that this operation was carried out as a result of the examination of digital items seized from previously detained suspects and the detailed analysis of MASAK records.

Within the scope of the file conducted by the teams of the Istanbul Police Department Financial Crimes Branch Directorate under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Illegal Betting and Sports Crimes Bureau, some names had also been detained previously.
