Support from the Club for the Painter Whose House Burned Down Due to Fireworks Thrown After the Match

Kasımpaşa Sports Club provided 500 thousand liras in financial support to painter Murat Melih Özen, who suffered great damage when a firework thrown after the Kasımpaşa-Trabzonspor match held in Beyoğlu, Istanbul hit his house.

Fire Breaking Out After the Match

A firework, alleged to have been thrown by fans after the Kasımpaşa-Trabzonspor match played in Beyoğlu, hit the apartment on the fourth floor of a 5-story building.

As a result of the fire that broke out, the apartment became completely unusable, and the incident caused great sorrow in the neighborhood.

Years of Labor Turned to Ashes

All the paintings, canvases, paints, brushes, and music equipment that painter Murat Melih Özen, who was preparing to open a new exhibition, had accumulated for 20 years were burned.

Additionally, paintings with high sentimental value belonging to the artist's father also fell victim to the flames and were completely destroyed during the fire.

Meaningful Assistance from the Club

Following the major grievance experienced, Kasımpaşa Sports Club President Davut Dişli came together with AK Party Istanbul Provincial Vice Presidents Helin Görgül and Yusuf Aslan.

Following the meeting, it was announced that a total of 500 thousand liras in financial support was provided to painter Murat Melih Özen to help him heal his wounds.

Requirement of Neighborhood Culture

Kasımpaşa Sports Club President Davut Dişli stated that the aid provided was not directly their responsibility, but they embraced the artist as a requirement of the neighborhood culture.

Artist Murat Melih Özen expressed his satisfaction with this meaningful support, stating that he can rent a new house and resume his work.
