TFF Arbitration Board Rejects Galatasaray's Turkish Cup Statute Appeal

The Turkish Football Federation Arbitration Board evaluated Galatasaray Club's appeal regarding the 2026-2027 season Turkish Cup competitions statute. As a result of the deliberations, it was decided that there was no illegality in the TFF Board of Directors' decision.

Review and Justification

During the review conducted by the board, it was determined that the decision in question complied with procedure, merits, and instructions. Accordingly, it was officially announced that Galatasaray's appeal was unanimously rejected.

Previous Process and Reactions

In accordance with the decision previously made by the TFF, it had been announced that some players who could not be included in the Super League A team list could play in Turkish Cup matches. Galatasaray Club had reacted to this decision with an official statement on August 26.

Fenerbahçe Penalty Upheld

During the meeting, the Arbitration Board also reviewed other files alongside the Galatasaray decision. The board upheld the 280 thousand lira fine imposed on Fenerbahçe due to pitch incidents caused by its fans.
