The Big Four of the Süper Lig paid 222 million euros to three foreign clubs in the last five years
Napoli, Benfica, and Marseille have been recorded as the three clubs that Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, and Trabzonspor have made the highest external transfer payments to over the last five seasons.
Turkey's leading football clubs Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, and Trabzonspor have made a total of 222 million euros in transfer fee payments to Napoli, Benfica, and Marseille for international transfers completed over the past five years.
Three clubs are the focal point of transfer expenditures
An examination of Transfermarkt records revealed that the Süper Lig's four major clubs made their highest expenditure amounts to Napoli, Benfica, and Marseille over the past five years. The total amount paid for a combined 14 players added to their squads from these three clubs reached 222 million euros.
Payments made to Napoli at the top of the list
The Italian team Napoli ranked first in transfer expenditures with 83 million euros. This financial volume includes the transfers of Victor Osimhen, whom Galatasaray added to their squad for a record fee, as well as names like Noa Lang and Romelu Lukaku.
Benfica and Marseille transfer table
The Portuguese team Benfica, which is second on the list, was paid 78.5 million euros. Gedson Fernandes, Orkun Kökçü, Joao Mario, Kerem Aktürkoğlu, Sidny Cabral, and Haris Seferovic were recruited from this club. Meanwhile, 65.5 million euros were transferred to Marseille, which sits in third place, as a result of transfers carried out by Fenerbahçe and Beşiktaş.
