Trabzonspor Seeking Victory Away Against Samsunspor

Having collected 10 points in the first 6 weeks of the Süper Lig, Trabzonspor is trying to end its away win drought against Samsunspor. Under the management of head coach Thomas Reis, the claret-blues aim to end their 153-day away victory drought.

Results from the First Six Weeks of the League

Having gathered 10 points in the first 6 weeks of the Süper Lig, Trabzonspor is taking to the pitch to secure its first away win of the season against Samsunspor. The Black Sea team earned nine points by winning all three of its matches at home, while it has yet to taste victory away and managed only one point.

Home and Away Performance Table

Trabzonspor defeated İstanbul Başakşehir 2-1 in the second week of the league, Gençlerbirliği 5-0 in the fourth week, and Galatasaray 4-0 in the sixth week. Away from home, they drew 1-1 with Kasımpaşa in the first week, lost 2-1 to Amed Sportif Faaliyetler in the third week, and were defeated 1-0 by Konyaspor in the fifth week.

The Last Away Win Was Against Beşiktaş

Trabzonspor secured its last away victory with a 2-1 result against Beşiktaş in Istanbul during the 33rd week of last season. Failing to win any of its three away matches played after the Beşiktaş fixture on May 9, the team will win away from home after 153 days if it defeats Samsunspor.

Managerial Changes and the Thomas Reis Era

The claret-blues played their three away matches this season under the management of two different managers. The team played the Kasımpaşa and Amed Sportif Faaliyetler matches under Fatih Tekke and took to the field with Hüseyin Çimşir in the Konyaspor match. After the Amed Sportif Faaliyetler match, paths parted with Fatih Tekke, and Thomas Reis was brought into office after the Konyaspor match. Reis will now seek a victory against his former team, Samsunspor.
