Walk and Screenings Held for Public Health Week in Karaman
During the program held at Aktekke Nation's Garden, citizens underwent various health screenings and received information about preventive health services.
Within the scope of the events organized on the occasion of the September 3-9 Public Health Week in Karaman, healthcare professionals and citizens marched with a marching band.
Public Health Week Events
Led by the Karaman Provincial Directorate of Health, with contributions from the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, Turkish Red Crescent, and Green Crescent, a comprehensive program was organized for Public Health Week.
Awareness Walk with a Marching Band
At the events held in Aktekke Nation's Garden, healthcare professionals and citizens came together to carry out an awareness walk accompanied by a marching band.
Screenings on Health Street
Measurements of blood pressure, blood sugar, diabetes risk score, height, weight, waist circumference, movement age, and carbon monoxide were conducted for citizens in the established Health Street area.
Additionally, participants underwent muscle strength tests, performed stretching exercises with a physiotherapist, and received smoking cessation counseling.
