Mugla Metropolitan Municipality is preparing to launch its winter season training following a successful summer course period that reached thousands of children across 8 facilities.

Mugla Metropolitan Municipality has completed its summer sports courses, which served 4,254 children across 8 facilities in the summer of 2026, and is continuing its preparations for winter season activities.

Summer Period Activities Completed

The Summer Sports Courses organized by the Mugla Metropolitan Municipality Department of Youth and Sports Services to contribute to the physical and social development of children are coming to an end.

Thanks to the training sessions conducted under the guidance of expert instructors throughout the summer holiday, children had the opportunity to both do sports and develop their talents in various branches.

Training Provided in Seventeen Different Branches

Within the scope of the Summer Sports Courses, branches such as swimming, volleyball, taekwondo, folk dances, athletics, chess, basketball, tennis, gymnastics, and children's zumba were included.

In addition, training was conducted in a total of 17 different branches, including optimist sailing, table tennis, kickboxing, ice skating, cycling, children's pilates, and football.

Children's Development Supported Multidimensionally

The organized courses aimed to support children in subjects such as teamwork and discipline, alongside their physical development.

Through the programs, it was also aimed for the young participants to gain self-confidence and improve their social communication skills.

Preparations Began for Winter Sports Courses

Following the summer period, Mugla Metropolitan Municipality continues its preparations to resume sports activities with winter courses without a break.

With the courses planned to start soon, it is aimed for children to exercise regularly throughout the education term as well.

Branches to be Included in the Winter Season

Within the scope of the Winter Sports Courses, yoga, taekwondo, zumba, pilates, volleyball, basketball, kickboxing, and athletics branches will be featured.

In addition, training is planned to be organized in tennis, gymnastics, table tennis, and chess branches.

Application dates for the winter courses, which aim to develop children's talents in different branches, will be announced in the coming days.
