Statements on Terror-Free Turkey and Security from Interior Minister Çiftçi
During his contacts in Bilecik, Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi stated that the country will be relieved of a major burden once the terror-free process is successfully completed.
Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi, during his visit to the AK Party Bilecik Provincial Presidency, emphasized that the country will be freed from a 50-year shackle with the Terror-Free Turkey process, while providing information on organized crime, drugs, and new employment plans.
Terror-Free Turkey Process
Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi stated that they are implementing their own decisions without allowing opportunists at home and abroad in order to successfully complete the Terror-Free Turkey process.
He expressed that if the process reaches success, Turkey will be freed from a 50-year shackle, and the resources spent on terrorism will be transferred to welfare and development.
Criminal Organizations and Extradition Processes
Stating that they designated the fight against new-generation criminal organizations and drugs as priority areas when he took office, Çiftçi noted that criminals who fled abroad will not be let off the hook.
Stating that they work in full coordination with the Ministry of Justice, Çiftçi conveyed that 438 individuals were extradited to Turkey from Georgia in the first 8 months of this year.
Organized Crime Operations
It was announced that a total of 1,524 operations targeting 545 organized crime organizations were carried out across Turkey in the last 8 months.
It was noted that the security forces' fight against crime and criminals continues with determination.
School Security and Garden Attendants
It was announced that a joint protocol will be signed with 7 ministries to increase school security within the scope of the fight against drugs.
With the support of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, it was announced that 31,000 garden attendants will be assigned to be employed in schools across Turkey.
Bilecik Visits
Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi visited the Ertuğrul Gazi Shrine and the Sheikh Edebali Shrine as part of his Bilecik program.
Also visiting the Bilecik Governorship, Minister Çiftçi planted a plane tree sapling in the governorship garden.
