Artificial Intelligence Usage Rate Among Enterprises in Turkey Rose to 14 Percent

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute's Artificial Intelligence Statistics 2026 bulletin, the artificial intelligence usage rate among enterprises in Turkey has risen from 7.5 percent to 14 percent. The proportion of individuals using generative artificial intelligence also reached 37.6 percent.

Increase in Artificial Intelligence Usage Rates

According to information compiled from the Turkish Statistical Institute's Artificial Intelligence Statistics 2026 bulletin, the usage rate of artificial intelligence in the country has nearly doubled compared to the previous year.

The proportion of individuals using generative artificial intelligence, which enables computer systems to create original content by processing big data types, rose from 19.2 percent in 2025 to 37.6 percent this year.

Sectoral Distribution in Information Technologies and Construction

When enterprises using artificial intelligence were analyzed by activity groups, it was determined that this technology was used the most by enterprises carrying out telecommunications, programming, and information activities with a rate of 63.7 percent.

The activity field that used the aforementioned technology the least was recorded as the construction sector with a rate of 6.9 percent.

Artificial Intelligence Usage in Other Sectors

Following the telecommunications, programming, and information sector, the fields that used artificial intelligence the most were publishing, radio-TV, and content enterprises with 57.1 percent.

These businesses were followed by the repair of computers and communication equipment and devices with 32.4 percent, financial and insurance activities with 30.2 percent, and real estate activities with 25.8 percent.

The artificial intelligence usage rate was determined as 12.7 percent in wholesale and retail trade enterprises, and 9.7 percent in transportation and storage enterprises.

Technology Usage by Number of Employees

When the artificial intelligence usage rate of enterprises was analyzed according to the number of employees, it was observed that enterprises with more employees preferred this technology at a higher rate.

The artificial intelligence usage rate was calculated as 37.1 percent in enterprises with 250 or more employees.

While this rate was 17 percent in enterprises with 50 to 249 employees, it was recorded as 12.8 percent in those with 10 to 49 employees.
