Bilimfest Samsun TÜBİTAK 4007 Science Festival Begins
Bilimfest events implemented with TÜBİTAK support in Samsun and Kocaeli aim to bring students and society together with science.
Organized within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 4007 Science Fairs Support Program, the Bilimfest projects held in the provinces of Samsun and Kocaeli bring different segments of society and students together with science while offering hands-on learning experiences.
Program Scope
Both events are supported within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 4007 Science Fairs Support Program. The STEAM approach, science literacy, and mathematical thinking skills are at the forefront of the projects.
Samsun Events
Bilimfest Samsun, coordinated by the Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, is scheduled between June 5, 2026, and October 24, 2026. The project covers all 17 districts of Samsun.
With sustainability, smart cities, and agricultural technologies among its focus areas, the event includes 60 different workshop studies.
It aims to reach 50,000 people directly and 70,000 indirectly.
Kocaeli Events
Bilimfest Kocaeli, coordinated by the Kocaeli Provincial Directorate of National Education, is organized between May 23, 2026, and June 10, 2026.
Structured around a family theme, the event program features a total of 103 activities, including 75 workshops.
Participation in the events held at various venues such as Symbol AVM, Kocaeli Congress Center, and Kocaeli Science Center is provided through an appointment system.
Goals and Expectations
The target participation number for both projects has been set at around 50,000. It aims to spread the culture of science.
