Speaking at the 5th Conference of the Ca Mau Provincial Steering Committee for Science, Technology Development, Innovation and Digital Transformation, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Ho Hai stated that scientific and technological activities must closely align with the practical problems of the region.

Activities Aligned with Practical Problems

Scientific, technological and innovative efforts must leverage advantages in areas such as high-tech agriculture, fisheries and climate change adaptation.

These efforts must closely follow the practical problems of the province by creating products with potential for application and commercialization.

Steering Committee Meeting

The conference was organized on the morning of September 25 by Steering Committee Chairman Nguyen Ho Hai.

Other senior officials of the province also co-chaired the meeting.

Digital Transformation and Action Plan

Within the scope of the 100-day action plan aimed at removing bottlenecks, 58 tasks were implemented across the province.

As of September 18, 24 tasks have been completed, achieving a rate of 41.38 percent.

Budget and Project Developments

The total budget allocated for science, technology, innovation and digital transformation in 2026 was announced as 841.217 billion VND.

It was stated at the conference that disbursements are progressing slowly and the proposal quality of projects remains inadequate.

New Targets and Transfer of Duties

The Business Digital Transformation Information Portal is planned to become operational on October 10, 2026.

Within the scope of the conference, the duties of the Steering Committee Standing Agency were transferred to the Provincial Police Department.
