Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Salda Science Center and Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University National Technology Workshop, Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Kacır announced that more than 22 million visitors have been brought together with science across 44 science centers to date, with the 45th center now put into service in Salda.

Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Kacır stated that 44 science centers have been put into service to date with the aim of bringing youth and children together with science.

It was announced that a total of more than 22 million visitors have been hosted in these centers and brought together with scientific activities.

Features of Salda Science Center

With the new center opened in Salda, the total number of science centers across the country has risen to 45.

The center, brought to life with an investment of 30 million liras supported by TÜBİTAK, features the Confrontation with Mars Exhibition, a rocket exhibition, and various workshops.

National Technology Move and Projects

It was emphasized that Turkey is in a position to develop its own training aircraft, helicopters, and satellites with its national technology move.

It was stated that Togg and TÜRKSAT 6A projects are among the country's significant achievements in the field of technology.

Space Studies and Future Targets

Mentioning the space missions of astronauts Alper Gezeravcı, Tuva Cihangir Atasever, and Gökhan Erdem, their works were conveyed.

It was noted that scientific research is projected to be conducted in lunar orbit in the first months of 2027.
