The first HÜRJET manufactured for the Turkish Air Forces inventory successfully completed its test flight on August 30 Victory Day in a duration of 18 minutes.

HÜRJET's First Flight and Duration

The first HÜRJET to be delivered to the Turkish Air Forces met the skies on August 30 following final assembly and ground tests. Accompanied by the first prototype, this critical test flight lasted a total of 18 minutes and was completed safely.

Order Details and Block Models

The Turkish Air Forces have a total order of 16 aircraft. Within the scope of these orders, 4 of the aircraft are being manufactured in the Block 0 and 12 in the Block 1 configuration.

Program History and Capabilities

The HÜRJET program, which started in 2017, had left an important milestone behind with its first flight on April 25, 2023. In test activities carried out with the produced prototypes, the aircraft reached supersonic speeds, proving its supersonic capability.

Future Plans and Production

Within the framework of the program, 6 HÜRJETs will be produced in the initial phase, and 12 more aircraft are being built on the TUSAŞ line. While the number is targeted to be increased to 100 in the long term, the aircraft will initially replace the T-38M aircraft.
