Gürsu Municipality provides science education to students in village schools through a project
Carried out with TÜBİTAK 4009 support, the project increases access to scientific activities for children studying in village schools.
Within the framework of the TÜBİTAK-supported project prepared by the Gürsu Municipality Science Center, students in village schools are brought together with science and technology education.
The First Stop of the Project is Gündoğdu School
The first stop of the project, supported within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 4009 program, was Gündoğdu Primary and Secondary School in Osmangazi district, and various activity stands were set up in the school yard for the children.
Main Purposes and Goals of the Project
The main purpose of the project is to increase the access of students in village schools to scientific activities, to ensure that children learn science by experimenting and experience technology firsthand.
Evaluations by Mayor Mustafa Işık
Speaking at the opening of the project, Gürsu Mayor Mustafa Işık stated that they have moved the educational activities, which started with the Producing Children's Workshop, to a more advanced point with the Gürsu Science Center.
Işık emphasized that creating opportunities for children to discover their talents is one of the most important investments made in the future of the district.
Established Activity Workshops
In the activity area established in the courtyard of Gündoğdu Primary and Secondary School, the Gürsu Municipality Producing Children's Workshop and the Search and Rescue Team Workshop took place.
Additionally, the Science Center, Cute Paws Workshop, Sustainability Workshop, Coding Workshop, and Wood Design Workshop were offered to the service of the students in the area.
Student Participation and Calendar Information
With the project that started on September 22 and will end on September 24, it is aimed to introduce nearly 300 students brought from different regions to science and technology.
