Ho Chi Minh City Science and Technology Steering Committee Reorganized
In accordance with a newly issued decision, the new personnel lineup for the committee leading science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation efforts in Ho Chi Minh City has been determined.
The Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee implemented Decision No. 1336-QD/TU, which reorganizes the personnel of the steering committee for the development of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.
New Leadership Personnel of the Steering Committee
Under Decision No. 1336-QD/TU, Comrade Tran Luu Quang, Politburo Member and Secretary of the City Party Committee, has been appointed as the Head of the Executive Board.
New Role for the Chairman of the People's Committee
Comrade Nguyen Van Duoc, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, has been appointed as the Permanent Deputy Head of the Management Board.
New Structure Comprising Twenty-Three Members
Various high-ranking officials have been assigned to the deputy chairmanship and permanent membership positions of the committee, establishing a new administrative structure consisting of a total of 23 members.
Strategic Duties and Powers of the Committee
The board is tasked with directing the development of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation in the city, preparing strategic projects, and holding authority and responsibilities regarding special mechanisms and resource allocation.
