Huawei Watch 6 and Watch 6 Pro Models Introduced

Huawei has officially announced its new smartwatch series, the Watch 6 and Watch 6 Pro. Standing out with advanced health tracking capabilities, different case materials, and long battery life, the new models come with various size options.

Design and Case Options

While the standard Watch 6 model is offered in 42 mm and 46 mm sizes, the Pro model meets users with 43 mm and 46 mm case options. Aluminum alloy and stainless steel cases are preferred for the Watch 6 model, while titanium cases and ceramic materials are used in the Pro model. The 42 mm Watch 6, the lightest member of the series, weighs only 38 grams without the strap.

Display and Connectivity Features

Both models feature LTPO OLED touchscreens protected by synthetic sapphire glass. The maximum screen brightness of the Watch 6 model reaches up to 3,000 nits, while this value rises to 3,500 nits in the Watch 6 Pro model. The devices generally feature eSIM connectivity support and dual phone connection capability compatible with both iOS and Android devices.

New Gesture Controls and Sensors

A new wrist gesture has been added that allows incoming calls and alarms on the watches to be quickly muted. In addition, functions such as answering calls and taking photos are offered via double-tap, double-swipe, and pinch gestures. The X-Tap sensor, which was not present in the previous series, returns, increasing the number of simultaneous health measurements to 14.

Battery Life and Pricing

The small-sized models offer up to 3 days of battery life under normal use and up to 7 days in power-saving mode. The large 46 mm models provide up to 4.5 days of battery life under normal use and up to 11 days in power-saving mode. The starting price of the Watch 6 has been set at 399.99 euros, and the price of the Watch 6 Pro at 599.99 euros, with the devices going on sale on September 23.
