International students compete for air defense system at TEKNOFEST Southeast
University students from various countries studying in Turkey are preparing projects for the competition hosted by ASELSAN.
Foreign national students receiving higher education in Turkey are exhibiting a fierce competition by developing joint projects for the Steel Dome Air Defense System Competition, hosted by ASELSAN within the scope of TEKNOFEST Southeast.
TEKNOFEST Enthusiasm at Şanlıurfa GAP Airport
The Aviation, Space and Technology Festival, TEKNOFEST, carried out under the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the T3 Foundation, opened its doors to visitors at Şanlıurfa GAP Airport.
While the events organized in the festival area attracted great interest from citizens of all ages, numerous technology competitions also brought young talents together.
Steel Dome Air Defense System Competition
The Steel Dome Air Defense System Competition, hosted by ASELSAN within the organization, serves as the arena for the struggle of foreign national students studying in Turkey.
Young people coming from different geographies of the world and studying at universities in Turkey are competing to achieve top rankings with the defense industry projects they developed at the festival.
International Team from Sakarya University
Moaz Enany, an Egyptian student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Sakarya University, stated that he has been studying in Turkey for about 4 years and that they are participating in the competition from Sakarya.
The team, formed by university and dormitory friends, includes individuals from different nationalities such as Sudan, Libya, Iraq, Egypt, and Turkey.
Emphasis on Technology from Young Engineers
Sudanese competitor Abdulqadir Omar Nasuhi expressed his satisfaction with participating in TEKNOFEST and stated that important steps have been taken in the field of technology in Turkey.
Drawing attention to the importance of the organization, Nasuhi stated that ASELSAN provides such important opportunities to young engineers.
National Technology Move and Brain Gain
Alihan Aydemir, the Turkish member of the team, expressed his great happiness in working in the same team with students from different countries.
Aydemir noted that within the framework of the National Technology Move, Turkey has started to receive a brain gain from abroad and that they aim to work for the country.
