Meteorology Issues Heavy Rain and Temperature Warning for All of Turkey

According to the latest evaluations by the General Directorate of Meteorology, partly to mostly cloudy weather along with local showers and thundershowers are expected in the northern, inner, and western parts of the country.

Expected Weather Conditions Across the Country

Based on the latest assessments by the General Directorate of Meteorology, it is estimated that the northern, inner, and western parts of Turkey will be partly and occasionally very cloudy. In other regions, the weather is projected to be mostly clear and sunny.

Regions and Provinces Expected to Receive Precipitation

Precipitation is expected in the inner parts of the Western Mediterranean, the coasts of the Western and Central Black Sea, and the Eastern Black Sea region. Additionally, local showers will be seen around Kocaeli, Sakarya, İzmir, Manisa, Adana, Mersin, Osmaniye, Kırşehir, Yozgat, Sivas, and Ardahan.

Critical Points and Other Settlements

Locally heavy showers and thundershowers are also forecasted for the coastal parts of Kırklareli, the northern parts of Istanbul, and the western parts of Konya and Kütahya.

Temperature and Wind Forecasts

Air temperatures are estimated to decrease by 4 to 6 degrees in the Eastern Black Sea region, with no significant changes expected elsewhere. The wind is generally expected to blow lightly to occasionally moderately from the north, and from southern directions in the southern parts.
