Meteorology issues heavy rain and yellow code warnings for numerous provinces
The General Directorate of Meteorology and AKOM stated that temperatures will drop nationwide and issued shower and heavy rain warnings for many provinces.
According to the latest evaluations made by the General Directorate of Meteorology, partly to cloudy weather accompanied by showers and thunderstorms will be effective in many regions of the country.
Weather Conditions Nationwide
According to the latest evaluations made by the General Directorate of Meteorology; it is estimated that the weather across the country will be partly to cloudy. Precipitation will be seen in the eastern part of Marmara, the Southern and Inner Aegean, the Mediterranean, Central Anatolia, Western and Central Black Sea, and the coastal areas of the Eastern Black Sea.
Showers and thunderstorms are also projected to be effective in Adana, Osmaniye, Kahramanmaraş, and the western parts of Hatay.
Heavy Rainfall and Yellow Code Warnings
Local heavy rainfall is expected in the Inner Aegean, western Central Anatolia, the interior parts of the Western Black Sea, and the Lakes Region. Similar adverse conditions are projected around Muğla, western Antalya, Sinop, Samsun, Ordu, Amasya, and Çorum.
A yellow code meteorological warning has been issued for the provinces of Ankara, Afyonkarahisar, Antalya, Burdur, Çankırı, Çorum, Denizli, Eskişehir, Isparta, Muğla, Uşak, and Kırıkkale.
Precautions Against Potential Adversities
Authorities warned citizens against floods, water inundation, lightning, strong winds during rainfall, small-scale hail, and disruptions in transportation. Citizens are also urged to remain cautious against landslide risks.
Wind and Temperature Conditions
The wind is expected to blow strongly from southern directions in the western part of Eastern Anatolia. Air temperatures are estimated to drop below seasonal norms nationwide.
Istanbul and Regional Expectations
AKOM stated that the precipitation in Istanbul will continue until Friday noon. On Friday, the rainy weather is expected to persist across the eastern Marmara, Inner Aegean, Mediterranean, Central Anatolia, and the Black Sea.
Temperature Trend in the Coming Days
Air temperatures in the northern, inner, and western parts are estimated to rise again starting from the weekend and return to seasonal norms. In the eastern parts, high temperatures are expected to continue.
