Minister Kacır: Turkey is a Global Focal Point in Advanced Technology and Space Investments

Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır met with representatives of global companies in New York as part of his engagements for the 81st United Nations General Assembly. Minister Kacır conveyed Turkey's investment vision and new incentive programs in artificial intelligence, advanced technology, and space to the international business world.

New York Contacts with Global Investors

Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır accompanied President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is in New York to attend the 81st United Nations General Assembly. In this context, Kacır met with representatives of global companies and shared ongoing efforts to direct international investments to Turkey.

Meeting with numerous American and international companies at the Industry and High Technology Roundtable, Kacır emphasized that recent geostrategic developments have made the security and sustainability of investments critical elements.

HIT-30 Program and Artificial Intelligence Targets

Reminding that HIT-30 is Turkey's largest-scale investment incentive program, Minister Kacır stated that privileged support is provided to many fields from semiconductors to mobility, and from solar energy to artificial intelligence projects.

Stating that 2% of the public investment budget will be allocated to artificial intelligence projects, Kacır noted that the current level of data center infrastructure will be quadrupled to reach the gigawatt level, and at least $10 billion in private sector investment is targeted in this field.

Trade and Digital Connectivity with the US

Touching upon the $100 billion bilateral trade volume target between Turkey and the US, Minister Kacır stated that trade has doubled in the last 10 years, but the existing potential is even higher.

Pointing out the Middle Corridor, Zengezur Corridor, and Development Road projects, as well as digital connectivity and fiber infrastructures, Kacır stated that all these elements offer new cooperation opportunities for American companies.

National Space Program and Deep Space Projects

Conveying Turkey's targets within the scope of the National Space Program, Kacır recalled that the first manned space mission was carried out and communication and imaging satellites were produced and sent into space.

Stating that a spaceport is being built in Somalia and a space technopark is being established in Ankara, Minister Kacır emphasized that with the Moon project planned to be implemented next year, Turkey will be among the 9 countries capable of reaching the Moon.
