Ministry of Science and Technology Holds Working Meeting with ICISE Center
Led by the Ministry of Science and Technology in Vietnam, an inter-ministerial meeting was held for the development of the ICISE Center and joint laboratory investments.
An inter-ministerial working group led by Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Bui Hoang Phuong met with ICISE Center officials and local leaders to implement Prime Ministerial directives.
Details of the Inter-Ministerial Meeting
The inter-ministerial delegation, headed by Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Bui Hoang Phuong, held a working session with the ICISE Center in accordance with the Prime Minister's Notice No. 452/TB-VPCP. Representatives from relevant ministries, central agencies, and local authorities attended the meeting.
Proposals by the ICISE Director
Professor Tran Thanh Van, President of the Association of Vietnamese Scientists and Director of ICISE, presented his proposals regarding the center's operational mechanisms, financial resources, and infrastructure investments. The long-term development orientation of the center was discussed during the meeting.
Investment and Support Mechanisms
Delegates evaluated steps to resolve obstacles in mechanisms and policies, invest in joint laboratories, and support institutes under ICISE. Financial support mechanisms for research activities were put on the table.
Future Goals and Contacts
The parties discussed the goal of making the International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science and Education a major international fundamental research institute in physics. The delegation also addressed the activities of the SOS Children's Village Hue and the pilot dialogue program.
