National Conference Held for Science, Technology and Digital Transformation Goals
Evaluating the third quarter results of 2026, the Steering Committee for the Center for Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation met under the leadership of Prime Minister Le Minh Hung.
The Steering Committee for the Center for Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation held a national online conference chaired by Prime Minister Le Minh Hung to evaluate the work in the third quarter of 2026.
Organization of the National Conference
The Steering Committee for the Center for Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation gathered on the afternoon of September 28 to evaluate contributions to socio-economic development.
The meeting was conducted in a nationwide online format under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Le Minh Hung, with local participation.
Participation in Cao Bang Province
At the meeting point in Cao Bang province, Provincial Party Committee Secretary and Provincial Steering Committee Chairman Phan Thang An chaired the meeting.
This participation at the local government level aimed to coordinate the local reflections of the national strategy.
Database Synchronization Works
Within the scope of data creation, connection, and utilization activities, 8 out of 12 core databases were successfully synchronized with the National Data Center.
Additionally, 69 out of 104 specialized databases were connected with relevant systems, accelerating the integration process.
Signal Blind Spots and Solutions
Within the framework of the work carried out by the Ministry of Science and Technology, 117 points across 11 provinces and cities continue to be closely monitored.
Cao Bang intervened in 48 out of the 92 inspected points, taking significant steps to resolve signal issues.
Increase in Economic Value Added
It was stated that the share of value added derived from science, technology, and digital transformation in the GDP has shown an increase.
This rate rose from 15.29 percent in 2020 to 16.51 percent in 2025.
Future Period Expectations
It is estimated that the digital economy alone will account for approximately 14.02 percent of the GDP in 2025.
Alongside current successes, certain structural bottlenecks that need to be overcome in the development process were also addressed in the report.
Prime Minister Le Minh Hung's Instructions
In his closing remarks at the conference, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung asked ministries, sectors, and local governments to resolutely continue their duties.
It was emphasized that national databases in areas such as education, healthcare, and social security must be completed before November 30, 2026.
