National Science and Innovation Program Focusing on Strategic Technologies Approved
With a decision signed by Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung, a new program covering areas such as artificial intelligence and semiconductors has been implemented.
Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung officially signed Decision No. 1493/QD-TTg approving the National Science, Technology, and Innovation Program in the field of strategic technologies.
Strategic Technology Focus Areas
The newly approved program focuses on investing in cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, the semiconductor industry, next-generation biotechnology, clean energy, and advanced automation.
Flexible Management and Testing Mechanisms
The program allows for a flexible management, acceptance, and payment model based on research risk, as well as the pilot implementation of controlled testing mechanisms known as sandboxes.
Inter-Institutional Cooperation and Infrastructure
While encouraging cooperation between research institutes, universities, and large enterprises, technical infrastructure, highly qualified human resources, and special incentive policies are being implemented.
