Nuclear Science and Education Cooperation Agreement Between France and Vietnam
Strategic cooperation agreements in the fields of nuclear science, new energy, and education were signed between Hanoi University of Science and Technology and the French Atomic Energy Commission.
Within the framework of General Secretary and President To Lam's visit to France, critical agreements were signed between Hanoi University of Science and Technology and the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission to advance nuclear science, technology, and the training of highly qualified human resources.
Signing Ceremony Held in Paris
In the presence of General Secretary and President To Lam, important cooperation agreements were concluded in Paris between Hanoi University of Science and Technology and the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission. These signed agreements aim to strengthen scientific research and technology transfer processes between the two countries.
Comprehensive Technology and Energy Fields
To materialize their cooperation, USTH and CEA decided to conduct joint studies on strategic subjects such as nuclear science, new energy, hydrogen energy, and semiconductors. Accordingly, the two institutions are implementing joint projects to develop the energy technologies of the future.
International Hydrogen Research Project
The USTH Energy Metabolism and Storage Chemistry Research Group and research units at CEA in Grenoble are carrying out joint work. The two institutions are co-chairing the IRP Hydrogen project, which aims to develop green hydrogen production technology and will run until the end of 2029.
Nuclear Science and Engineering Education
National Institute for Nuclear Science and Technology Director Pascal Yvon and USTH Rector Prof. Dr. Dinh Thi Mai Thanh signed a framework agreement on educational cooperation in the nuclear field. Within this scope, INSTN will support the development of the university's nuclear science and engineering programs.
Expert Visit Plan for January 2027
Pursuant to the signed framework agreement, INSTN will dispatch experts to USTH in January 2027. The assigned French experts will deliver the first nuclear science and engineering course to the university's undergraduate and graduate students.
