Plan Announced for Stemona Tuberosa Product Development Model in Phu Tho
A new science and technology task plan aimed at supporting the livelihoods of communities in the buffer zone of Xuan Son National Park has been announced.
To improve the livelihoods of communities located in the buffer zone of Xuan Son National Park in Phu Tho province, a science and technology task plan involving a sustainable product development model from the Stemona tuberosa plant has been announced.
Project Title and Main Objectives
The project aims to establish a sustainable product development model from the Stemona tuberosa Lour. plant in the buffer zone of Xuan Son National Park in Phu Tho province.
The study aims to develop the integration of digital databases, cultivation models in compliance with GACP-WHO standards, and deep processing procedures.
Expected Outputs and Technical Standards
Within the framework of the initiative, original seed gardens, nurseries, a 10-hectare cultivation area complying with GACP-WHO standards, and technical procedures will be established.
Additionally, it is planned to produce 15 tons of dried medicinal herbs, 50 kg of standardized extract, 1,000 bottles of anti-parasite spray, and establish a cooperative.
Budget and Implementation Period
The maximum financial support from the state budget for this project, which will be carried out as a social solution task, has been determined as 6 billion Vietnamese Dong.
It was stated that the task, planned with a total implementation period of 48 months, will be brought to life through a selection method.

The date range for receiving applications for the scientific and technological task in question has been officially announced.
Applications will begin on September 4, 2026, at 08:00 and will end on September 21, 2026, at 17:00.
