Public float ratios of 247 companies decreased following CMB principle decisions
The Central Registry Agency updated the ratios of companies on the stock exchange based on calculations made in accordance with the Capital Markets Board's new principle decisions.
Following the Capital Markets Board's principle decisions dated September 8, the Central Registry Agency published its new calculations, showing that the actual free float rate of 247 companies declined in a single day.
CMB regulation and CRA data
Significant changes were observed in the public float ratios of Borsa İstanbul companies following the principle decisions published by the Capital Markets Board on September 8.
The Central Registry Agency calculated the public float ratios of companies according to the new regulations and began publishing them as of September 14.

According to calculations made from CRA data, the actual free float rate of 247 companies decreased in a single day, the rate of 343 companies remained unchanged, and a limited increase was recorded in 40 stocks.
New principles regarding the calculation of shares, voting rights, and shares in actual free float were determined in the CMB's bulletin dated September 8, 2026, and numbered 2026/57.
Companies experiencing the highest declines
The sharpest drop in the actual free float rate occurred at Fuzul GMYO with a 20.5 percent decrease, followed by Manas Enerji and LDR Turizm.
Blume Metal Kimya, Trend GMYO, İnfo Yatırım, GSD Holding, Ostim Endüstriyel Yatırım, and Odine Teknoloji were also among the other companies whose ratios declined.
Analysts' approach to ratio changes
Analysts point out that not all changes in actual free float rates may stem from the new calculation regulation.
It is stated that transactions such as share buyback programs and sales to qualified investors may also have an impact on the rates, but high-rate changes largely stem from the new regulation.
