Science and Agriculture Meeting in Village Schools with TÜBİTAK 4009 Support
The TÜBİTAK 4009 project is being implemented to bring students in rural areas together with STEM approaches and smart agriculture technologies.
Within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 4009 - Support Program for Village Schools, carried out by the TÜBİTAK Science and Society Presidency, the project titled "From Tradition to Future: Science, Technology and Agricultural Knowledge Meeting in the Village" is being launched.
Science Vision in Rural Schools
Within the scope of the program carried out by the TÜBİTAK Science and Society Presidency, it is aimed to introduce students in rural settlements to modern scientific processes.
The project aims to develop agricultural awareness with innovative technologies and to make the popular science culture permanent in village schools.
Traditional Production and Next-Generation Technologies
The study carries Anatolia's deep-rooted agricultural traditions, the fertility of the soil, and next-generation technologies in the light of modern science to the most remote village schools.
The project aims to create equal opportunities in education in disadvantaged regions and to raise productive generations by building an awareness of local development.
Interdisciplinary STEM Approach
Science and technology lessons are being transformed from the theoretical molds of textbooks into hands-on workshops where students can actively participate.
Students growing up intertwined with agriculture and livestock give new meaning to traditional production processes through interdisciplinary STEM approaches.
Thematic Stations and Application Areas
Various workshops will be held at thematic research, design, and smart agriculture stations to be established in designated village schools and school gardens.
Students will carry out practical studies in the fields of agro-botanical discoveries, STEM designs, and sustainable environment.
Permanent Agricultural Technology Legacy
At the end of the project, it is aimed to leave a permanent agricultural technology legacy with smart agriculture kits, microscopes, and STEM apparatuses to be gifted to the schools.
