Organized to increase students' scientific literacy and bring science together with society in İzmir's Karşıyaka district, the 3rd Karşıyaka of the Gulf Science, Culture and Art Festival-2026 has opened its doors to visitors.

Purpose and Scope of the Festival

The event held in İzmir aims to increase students' scientific literacy and bring science together with every segment of society. Appealing to all students and youth from kindergarten to secondary education, the organization was implemented under the leadership of the Karşıyaka District National Education Directorate.

Workshop Activities and Stands

Throughout the event, a total of 35 different workshop and information stands in the fields of science, technology, art, health, and culture are meeting with visitors. Brain teasers, the fun side of mathematics, innovative drama, activity workshop, journalism, and media literacy stands are included in the program.

Administrator and Expert Views

In her opening speech, Karşıyaka District National Education Director Arzu Günaydın emphasized that the meeting of science, culture, and art in the same festival is valuable in terms of the versatile development of students. Project coordinator and Karşıyaka Science and Art Center teacher Mehmet Sertkahya stated that they offer activities in a wide range from art to STEM disciplines.
