Science in My Satchel Project Launched in Çankırı Village Schools
Practical activities were organized within the scope of the project aimed at increasing the scientific awareness of village school students.
Prepared to bring students studying in village schools in Çankırı together with science and technology, the Science in My Satchel project was brought to life with a ceremony held at Çankırı TOKİ Primary School.
Opening Ceremony of the Project
The opening of the two-day event was held with the participation of Provincial Director of National Education Ayhan Işık, deputy directors, school and institution administrators, teachers, and students.
Objectives and Scope of the Project
Carried out within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 4009 Support Program for Village Schools, the project was implemented under the coordination of the Çankırı Provincial Directorate of National Education R&D Unit.
With the project, it is aimed to bring students in village schools together with scientific activities, increase their science and technology awareness, and develop their science literacy.
Practical Activities
Within the framework of the project, students participated in practical studies prepared in the fields of science, technology, and education.
It was stated that thanks to these activities, students found the opportunity to develop their scientific thinking, problem-solving, and observation skills.
Additionally, efforts were carried out to increase children's interest in science and strengthen the bond between daily life and science.
