Officials gathering at the National Assembly building discussed strategic steps aimed at developing science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation processes in Dong Nai city, alongside the region's economic potential.
Location of the Meeting and Participants
At the meeting held at the National Assembly building, Nguyen Thanh Hai, Chairman of the Committee on Science, Technology and Environment, met with a delegation from Dong Nai city. Representatives from relevant institutions and councils also attended the meeting.
Ton Ngoc Hanh, Chairwoman of the People's Council of Dong Nai City, along with permanent members of the committee and city department heads, were also present to evaluate the process.
Economic and Industrial Strength of Dong Nai City
Committee Chairman Nguyen Thanh Hai emphasized that Dong Nai ranks fourth nationwide in terms of its economy and hosts 89 planned industrial zones. The city features over $45 billion in foreign investment projects.
Advantages in Agriculture and Industry
Ton Ngoc Hanh, Chairwoman of the People's Council of Dong Nai City, stated that the city serves as both an industrial and agricultural hub. One million hectares of fertile agricultural land provide a favorable environment for high-tech agriculture.
Future-Oriented Technology Fields
As a result of the discussions, delegates reached a consensus that Dong Nai meets the conditions to take a pioneering role. New directions were proposed in areas such as data, artificial intelligence, and semiconductors.
