During the monthly press conference held on September 30, Nguyen Mai Duong, Director of the Innovation Department of the Ministry of Science and Technology, emphasized that innovation is not solely the responsibility of scientists or technology companies, but should be the common driving force of the entire society.

Details on National Innovation Day

According to the Ministry of Science and Technology, National Innovation Day is celebrated every year on October 1, as stipulated in Decree No. 268/2025/ND-CP.

The aim of the event is to promote the transition from the development of mechanisms and policies to practical application, paving the way for sustainable growth.

Festival Theme and Events

The theme of this year's festival is designated as 'Innovation - The Driving Force for the Development of the Entire Society'.

While the opening ceremony of the events to be held at the National Convention Center in Hanoi will take place on the morning of October 4, forums and exhibitions were held from October 3 to 5.

Emphasis on Societal Participation

It was stated that every citizen can be an innovator, and businesses should view innovation as a prerequisite for development.

It is aimed for authorities to develop a constructive mindset and for ministries and local governments to become innovation centers within their respective fields.

National Forum and Exhibitions

The National Forum on the Future of Science, Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation focused on strategic technologies and financial tools.

The National Innovation Exhibition is expected to feature approximately 200 indoor and outdoor booths and achieve broad participation.
