Students in Keçiören Receive Rocket Building and Launch Training
Through the training program conducted under the roof of Keçiören Municipality TEKNOMER, children experience aerospace technologies hands-on.
With the Rocket Building and Launch Training held at the Keçiören Municipality Prof. Dr. Tunçalp Özgen Technology Center, approximately 200 students between the 3rd and 8th grades are learning aerospace technologies hands-on.
Hands-on Space and Aviation Training
Children have the opportunity to get closely acquainted with aerospace technologies through the Rocket Building and Launch Training held at the Keçiören Municipality Prof. Dr. Tunçalp Özgen Technology Center.
Within the scope of the training program, approximately 200 students between the 3rd and 8th grades learn to use professional engineering software to design their own rockets.
Digital Design and Engineering Processes
Students learn to use the 3D design program SolidWorks and the rocket simulation software OpenRocket at a basic level.
Fundamental engineering concepts such as aerodynamic structure, center of gravity, and flight trajectory are explored through computer-based designs.
Rockets Will Meet the Sky
Students who learn basic aerodynamics and physics rules transform the designs they prepared on the computer into physical models.
The rockets produced by the children with their own hands will meet the sky at the launch area where necessary safety precautions will be taken, and flight tests will be carried out.
STEM-Based Educational Support
With the STEM-based educational program that brings together science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, it is aimed to develop children's analytical thinking skills.
It is aimed to support the scientific curiosity of students who are introduced to the culture of technology production at an early age and to contribute to their orientation towards the field of space in the future.
