Students in Rural Areas of Muğla Met Science and Technology
During the events organized within the framework of the TÜBİTAK-supported project, students in rural areas experienced hands-on science activities and parents were informed.
Carried out under the coordination of Muğla BİLSEM within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 4009 program, the project brought students of Yeşilyurt Secondary School in Menteşe together with science and technology.
Scope and Objective of the Project
The project titled "Bringing Science and Technology to the Village," carried out under the coordination of Muğla BİLSEM within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 4009 Science and Society Support Program, was implemented. This project aimed to develop the scientific thinking and research skills of students studying in rural areas.
Hands-on Science Activities
Muğla Provincial Director of National Education Emre Çay also attended the activities held at Yeşilyurt Secondary School. Students participated in hands-on studies accompanied by academicians and expert trainers from Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University.
Experiences in Different Fields
Throughout the event, students engaged in sky observation, microscopic examinations, and virtual reality applications. They also had the opportunity to personally experience various scientific activities such as flight simulation.
Trainings for Parents
While the project aimed to increase students' interest in science, parents were not forgotten either. Informative training sessions regarding digital addiction were also included in the program for parents.
