Students in Village School Engage in Science and Technology Workshops
Within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 4009 program, students from rural areas had the opportunity to develop their scientific and technological skills over two days in 11 different workshops.
The project, implemented at Şehit Nedim Çalık Secondary School under the coordination of Fatma-Nuri Erkan BİLSEM, aims to enhance students' scientific process skills and technology literacy. The events, held on September 23-24, 2026, provided a hands-on learning experience for students in rural areas.
Project Aim and Scope
The project, implemented within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 4009 Support Program for Village Schools, aims to develop students' awareness of science, technology, nature consciousness, and cultural values.
First Day's Technology-Focused Activities
On the first day of the program, students participated in applications involving technological systems such as design and production workshops, a mathematics museum, AI-based image processing with Raspberry Pi, and rockets, UAVs, and underwater vehicles.
Second Day's Scientific and Cultural Activities
On the second day of the activities, experiments to understand natural disasters, planetarium shows, sky observation with a telescope, and handicraft workshops reflecting cultural values were held.
